About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Learning & Development Advisor with a passion to coordinate the learning and development function for the Institute. This position will be the front line of the Learning & Development (L&D) function, and play a pivotal role in promoting and shaping the L&D programs and initiatives across the Institute.

Key Responsibilities of the position are:

  • In conjunction with management, support and implement an L&D Strategy and calendar of L&D programs that supports the Institute’s Strategic Plan and objectives.
  • Coordinate L&D initiatives and programs including (but not limited to) leadership programs, Education Assistance and Study leave program, L&D Committee meetings.
  • Design and develop learning programs for maximum impact across the range of needs and learning requirements for the Institute.
  • Identify, implement and evaluate appropriate development programs in support of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the new employee induction program and other training as required.
  • Prepare reports on training for key stakeholders as required.
  • Administration of L&D programs including maintenance of L&D calendar, room booking, catering, record keeping, and related tasks.

About you:

You will be a trusted and motivated advisor on a broad range of L&D areas. To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience coordinating the L&D function including identifying L&D needs and planning an annual calendar of events within budget.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to gain cooperation from others to achieve the identified objectives and targets.
  • Sound skills in excel and reporting.
  • Relevant qualifications in the HR or L&D or Organisational Development disciplines.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
