About the role:

Are you a people person and thrive in being the coordinating support of a dynamic and engaged team? If so then this role is for you! The Institute is seeking an energetic and motivated team Administrator wanting to launch their HR career, to support the People & Capability (P&C) team.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide administration and operational support to the People and Capability team including: schedule team meetings, booking rooms, taking minutes for meetings, editing documents, invoicing activities, maintaining and ordering office supplies and facilities.
  • Act as first point of contact to respond to P&C queries and escalate enquiries to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist with the administration of the recruitment & selection process.
  • Manage and maintain databases (i.e. terminated employees, declarations of personal interest, probation end dates, Police checks and Working with Children Checks).
  • Maintain and update the People and Capability staff Intranet pages.
  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly Staff Communications Meetings.
  • Assist in administration and operational activities of the L&D function as required.

About you:

You will be a proactive and motivated Administrator who enjoys working in a team environment and thrives in supporting the team in achieving team goals and objectives. To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role together with a relevant qualification in either Human Resources, or Business Administration.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) together with experience in providing customer service to client groups.
  • Strong organisational and task prioritisation skills and the ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
